So that's why everyone is moving here.

Wallethub.com recently released its annual comparison of Best State Capitals to Live in, and not surprisingly, Denver is among the top finishers.

"State capitals aren’t just for lawmaking. Often, they’re thriving cities with a lot of economic and cultural value. In fact, they can be some of the best places to live in America. But not all state capitals are created equal," said the ranking.

Ranking No. 4 behind 1) Austin, 2) Raleigh, and 3) Madison, Denver ranked in the top 10 cities across three of four main categories in the study. The Mile High City ranked No. 2 in terms of economic well-being, No. 3 in quality of life, and No. 10 in quality of education and health.

In order to rank the state capitals, WalletHub compared all 50 across 49 key indicators of affordability, economic well-being, quality of education and health, and quality of life. The data set looked at everything from cost of living to number of attractions.

Denver was found to have among the highest restaurants per capita, most attractions, and the highest percent of millennial newcomers (literally ranking No. 1 in this category). 

Despite being named the No. 4 best state capital in the U.S., however, not all the data for Denver was positive. WalletHub found that Colorado's capital placed No. 48, ahead of only Honolulu and Boston, when it comes to affordable housing. In addition, Denverites apparently working their life away (probably to pay for the ridiculous cost of housing) working more weekly hours than the people who live in 44 other capitals. 

Wondering which state capitals WalletHub deemed the least desirable place to live overall? That would be 46) Hartford, 47) Baton Rouge, 48) Carson City, 49) Charleston, and 50) Trenton.
