After a wild end to last weekend’s event, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the speedy banks of Kansas Speedway to see who can punch their ticket to the playoffs in the AdventHealth 400.

Last week, fans witnessed a bumpy end to the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. Multiple wrecks near the end of the race took a few contenders out of contention for the victory, including Portage native Carson Hocevar, who came into Sunday’s race on the pole.

After it was all said and done, defending NCS champion Joey Logano came out on top for his first win of the 2025 season, automatically placing him into the playoffs.

Ross Chastain was able to score a second-place finish, with Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson and Byron native Erik Jones rounding out the top five.

That did not lead to massive shake-up near the top of the standings in terms of points. Daytona 500 winner William Byron still leads the field, with Larson right behind him in second. Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott and Tyler Reddick sit in the top five coming into Sunday.
