The Detroit Tigers are just over a week away from kicking off the 2025 MLB season. With a lot of excitement around Tiger Town, the team continues to prepare for the 162-game grind with another Spring Training matchup with the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers head into Wednesday after taking down an American League Central rival in the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, giving the team back-to-back wins in Grapefruit League play, an occurrence that is rather unfamiliar to these Tigers. They are in the middle of the Spring Training standings, neither winning many games in a row or losing many consecutively.

This is the third-to-last road game in Florida for the Tigers this preseason. They will take on the Baltimore Orioles in a split-squad game on Friday before visiting the Philadelphia Phillies next Sunday.

This is the final of two Spring Training meetings between the Tigers and Red Sox. Boston beat Detroit in Lakeland late last month.
