Cam Ward backed out of the NFL draft last season and entered the transfer portal, choosing Miami. The move was to improve his stock, and it certainly paid off . Ward passed for 4,313 yards with 39 touchdowns to seven interceptions in his lone season with the Hurricanes , finishing fourth in Heisman Trophy voting while winning the Davey O'Brien and Manning Award for top college quarterback. The expected top quarterback of the 2025 NFL Draft is the favorite to go No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans on April 24. The former Incarnate Word and Washington State quarterback was a 0-star recruit out of high school but blossomed into a signal caller with impressive arm talent that boasts a high NFL ceiling.
