AUSTIN — It's time for Class 6A and 1A athletes to be put on display during the final day of the UIL State Track & Field Meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium. But they'll be joined by Class 5A and 2A runners after Friday night's events were postponed to Saturday morning.

As has been the case all week, we are tracking every event, but here's your one-stop shop to find all of Saturday's Class 2A & Class A gold medalists from the Wichita Falls area.

Class A State Champions

Saint Jo sophomore Damon Byrd claimed bronze in a very competitive boys long jump event. Byrd had a jump of 22-1.75 which was the same as Jabraylon Brown of Coolidge, but Brown was awarded the silver because his second-best mark (21-10.75) was better than Byrd’s 19-9.25.
