President Donald Trump’s family is big, and many of them have involved themselves in his campaigns in one way or another.

And when Trump was campaigning for the November 2024 Presidential Election, his eldest granddaughter became the first of his grandchildren to take the stage.

At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July, Kai Trump talked about how, to her, Trump is just a “normal grandpa.”

Like her grandpa, Kai is an avid golfer and a Floridian. She lives in Jupiter and attends school in Palm Beach Gardens, both close to her grandpa’s Mar-a-Lago resort and club in Palm Beach.

In August, she verbally committed to the University of Miami to play golf there in 2026, so she will stay a Floridian for at least five more years.

Kai Trump is the oldest of President Donald Trump’s 10 grandchildren and the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi Trump's five children. She celebrated her 17th birthday on May 12, 2024.

She “has been in the public eye from a young age, attending high-profile events such as her grandfather's inauguration and the White House Easter Egg Roll,” USA TODAY reported , following her appearance at the RNC in July.

She shares her grandfather’s love of golf . She plays competitively and earlier this year, won a ladies' club championship at Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida . Her Instagram page is mostly golf content, down to her username, which is @kaitrumpgolfer .

"Golf has always been a massive part of my life and is my biggest passion. I always aspire to be a leader and a positive figure on and off the golf course. I hope to continue my athletic career at the college level," Kai's SportsRecruits biography says. Kai will graduate high school in 2026.

Kai Trump was born and mostly raised in New York, but she now lives in Jupiter, Florida with her mother.

According to Kai's SportsRecruits profile , she moved to South Florida almost five years ago, when she was 13 years old. She currently plays golf and studies at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens.

Kai Trump took to Instagram on Sunday, August 18 , 2024, to announce her early commitment to the University of Miami’s women’s golf team.

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami,” Kai wrote in the caption.

“I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey. I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point.”

She went on to thank Donald Trump Sr. as well.
