An Oklahoma millionaire made waves on Bravo's yacht-based reality show a few years back when a crew member didn't take note of his specific food preferences.

Here's a look back at his 2018 appearance on "Below Deck Mediterranean."

The main drama of episodes 5 and 6 was Novotny's strong dislike of onions, which he had listed on his preference sheet given to the crew.

The ship's chef, Adam Glick, still included onions in various forms, and several dishes were sent back to the kitchen, leading the crew to worry that they'd lose money on the charter.

Who is Kenny Novotny?



Ken Novotny is an Oklahoma businessman with a variety of ventures.

At the time the "Below Deck" episodes aired, he was running a consulting services firm CSI Oklahoma , which manages IT projects for the federal defense department and others.

In 2011, the company was on track for $28 million in sales, and in 2012, Forbes Magazine ranked it as the fourth fastest-growing inner-city business in the U.S.

In recent years, he's branched out of tech and started 1440 Processing , a Choctaw-based marijuana processor that uses specialized lab equipment worth millions of dollars to extract THC from marijuana plants, and infuse the chemical into a variety of products, including edibles, tinctures, pills and more.
