05/06/2024 — Baltimore city is seeing a drop in murders and shootings as Mayor Brandon Scott continues to tout his policies with election day right around the corner.

However, some attorneys are questioning the effectiveness of the Group Violence Reduction Strategy. Their concerns come as the city is preparing to expand it to another district.

Political Commentator, Armstrong Williams, joined FOX45 Morning News to share his thoughts on the mayor's policies to reduce crime in the city.

"The mayor is only focused on one area, and criminal don't fear GVRS, they fear Ivan Bates and Erek Barron," said Armstrong. "The mayor doesn't address the fact of car thefts, carjacking's, petty theft and other areas of crime that people have to deal with every day."
