WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The City of Wichita Falls has shared an update to the area lake level totals after the heavy rainfall throughout last week.

The City of Wichita Falls said the combined levels of Lake Arrowhead and Lake Kickapoo rose 5.7%, for a new total of 75.2%.

According to data from the city, the last time levels were above 70% was December 2024, and the last time they exceeded 75% was June 2024.

Even though the lake levels are high, the Stage 1 Drought Restrictions are still in place until a city council resolution can lift them.
