WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Wichita man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his involvement in a deadly shooting in northeast Wichita last March. Tyree Jackson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in November 2024 for the death of 20-year-old Jaden Wilson. On Friday, a judge sentenced him to 146 months in prison with 36 months parole. Wilson was found with gunshot wounds on the evening of March 21, 2024, near 21st and Grove. He died from his injuries at a nearby hospital. Wichita police said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute. A 17-year-old boy was also involved. He turned himself in at the Sedgwick County Jail shortly after the shooting.
