The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Southwest Oklahoma is closed as the massive Rush wildfire burns thousands of acres nearby.

The fire started Friday near Rush Lake and burned over 10,000 acres.

Due to heavy smoke, all public areas and entrances to the refuge are closed.

Comanche County Emergency Management says all evacuation orders for homes in the area have been lifted.

At last check, no injuries have been reported.
