WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Families in Wichita have a way to explore some of the city’s top attractions, completely free, thanks to the Wichita Public Library’s Experience Passes program. Part of the library’s Library of Things initiative, these passes provide access to places like Botanica, the Sedgwick County Zoo, Exploration Place, and local museums.

The goal is to make hands-on learning experiences accessible to everyone, especially families who might not be able to afford regular admission costs. Funded through private, philanthropic efforts, the program aims to break down barriers and create opportunities for connection, discovery, and fun.

Experience Passes can be placed on hold online or at the Wichita Public Library, and are available year-round as long as passes are not currently in use. They can be checked out for 7 days and renewed up to two times if no other holds are waiting. Due to high demand, library officials recommend planning ahead.
