A Wichita resident suffered potentially serious injuries following a vehicle accident in Chase County early Saturday evening.

Emergency crews were called to mile marker 103.4 northbound on the Kansas Turnpike just after 5 pm. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a 2006 Honda Shadow MC driven by 59-year-old Stacey Gomez of Wichita was northbound in the area and failed to negotiate a curve.

The Honda exited the roadway to the right and collided with a deliniator post and overturned. Gomez was transported by LifeSave helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with suspected serious injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
