A 19-year-old Fairfax woman is behind bars after police say she pepper sprayed someone during a dispute last night. Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Wilson Blvd in Virginia Square, near the 7-Eleven store, around 10:20 p.m. Sunday. Initially, a 911 caller told police that a homeless woman was trying to rob them. Later, medics were dispatched to treat the woman, who had been pepper sprayed. In today’s Arlington County Police Department crime report , police described the incident as starting with only a “verbal dispute” between one person and a group of people, which led to the pepper spray being used. The 19-year-old suspect who allegedly used the pepper spray was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Caustic Substance, a felony. More, below, from ACPD. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was walking in the area when she was approached by a group of individuals and a verbal dispute ensued. During the dispute, the female suspect allegedly deployed pepper spray, striking the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by medics on scene. Responding officers located the suspect at the scene and took her into custody. [The suspect], 19, of Fairfax Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Caustic Substance. She was held without bond. Also in the crime report, a 49-year-old Fairfax man was arrested in the Rosslyn area Friday afternoon and charged with several crimes, including stealing a vehicle and a construction ladder. STOLEN VEHICLE (Significant), 2025-02280156, 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 2:57 p.m. on February 28, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect allegedly enter a parked vehicle, tampered with the ignition and drove away. Responding officers canvassed the area, located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Nash Street and Wilson Boulevard. A stolen construction ladder and burglarious tools were located inside the vehicle. [The suspect], 49, of Fairfax, VA was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny Auto, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Petit Larceny and Driving without a License.
