Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the incident, which occurred on Dec. 16, 2024, according to Law & Crime. According to a news release from the Orlando Police Department, officers responded to the airport after an employee discovered a dead animal in a public women's restroom located before the TSA security checkpoints. The police department stated, "Based on the investigation, the Orlando Police Department issued a warrant for the arrest of Alison Agatha Lawrence for Aggravated Animal Cruelty, a third-degree felony." While authorities did not specify the type of animal, sources told WFTV , that it was a pet dog. Investigators reportedly believe Lawrence drowned the dog because she lacked the necessary paperwork to bring the animal on her flight, the sources said. It was unclear when Lawrence was scheduled to appear in court or if she had secured legal representation, Law & Crime reported.
