A woman was shot twice, once a graze to her head, during a dispute with the stepfather of her ex-girlfriend while in the drive-thru of the Gate Parkway Dunkin' Donuts, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

When she got out of the vehicle, she was shot in her left shoulder and grazed in the back of her head, according to the arrest report. She was able get inside the donut shop for help.

Officers spotted the fleeing suspect in his Toyota Tundra and rammed the truck to immobilize it and take Tommie Lee Taylor III into custody. The 48-year-old was charged with attempted murder and aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude law enforcement. The arrest report said he was uncooperative with the investigation.

His bail and attorney weren't provided as of noon the next day on jail and court listings.

The arrest report states the 21-year-old victim was able to speak with detectives and explained that she was at her ex-girlfriend's parents' home to discuss their daughter’s mental health and get her cell phone back. She said Taylor was giving her a ride to what she thought was her home when they stopped at the Dunkin’ Donuts.

The report didn’t state what the argument was about but blacked out a couple of lines. Detectives were also speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video.
