Louise, 5 Months

Louise is a unique husky mix with one light blue eye and one brown eye. This super-loving gal is still just a puppy, so she would need some obedience training. Because of the husky nature, she is hyperactive and would require an active home who will be able to take her for daily walks. Get to know her here!

Sif is a Doberman Pinscher mix who has a heart of gold. This soulful girl loves her squeaky toys, butt rubs, and going for rides in the car, so she will be your best friend through and through. Sif prefers a calmer environment, so please no younger children or other pets. Check her out here!

Handi is a domestic short hair, or tabby cat, who is the light of her owner's life. She has been described as a social cat and loves every human she meets. Handi possesses the personality of a dog, rather than a cat. Find her here!

Great with cats but not with other dogs, Chupa is a little girl who is house-trained and very easy to manage. She's an excellent buddy on a leash, so taking her for walks will be a breeze. This pupper loves to run and play in the backyard, so don't be fooled by her age! Check her out here!

Snoop Cat is one chill gal who loves to snuggle and lay on your chest at night. Though she has been known to not like other cats, she is learning to tolerate them. When you lean in to pet her, sometimes she will grab your arm and pull it into her, but her foster family is working with her to break this habit. Learn more about her here!

Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter | Newport News
The Peninsula SPCA is more than just an adoption shelter; they're a petting zoo, too. Popular to the locals, you can find them at 5843 Jefferson Ave., in Newport News -- check them out on Facebook, Instagram, and their website! The shelter performs a behavioral test on each animal while they are at the shelter so they can provide a thorough description.
