Imagine how excited Wiley Maple must be! He has overcome injuries to make it to the 2018 Winter Olympics! Let's go for the gold!
Wiley Maple, a 27-year-old ski racer and Aspen High School graduate, has battled through multiple non-ski-related injuries to clinch a spot on the U.S. Olympic team for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. An injury prevented Maple from attending the 2014 Winter Olympics, and then he has experienced additional injury setbacks over the past couple years, as well. But none of it has stopped him from continuing to work hard to recover and polish up his ski game in time for the 2018 Winter Olympics this month. Can you imagine how excited he must be now?
The men’s Olympic races will include the following:
- Downhill -- February 11
- Alpine Combined -- February 13
- Super-G -- February 15
- Giant Slalom -- February 18
- Slalom -- February 22
