The dog park will have a full-service bar serving craft beer and specialty coffee drinks.

Ever wish you could enjoy a cold one while hanging out with your furry friends at the dog park? Later this summer you can. A new membership-based dog park called Bark Social is opening in September at Pike & Rose. The 25,000-square-foot dog park will have a monitored off-leash dog park, craft beer and coffee bar, dog wash and boutique, and an indoor clubhouse. Memberships will be offered annually or monthly, per dog.

The new “dog bar” is the brainchild of founders Luke Silverman and Jeff Kurtzman and will be a respite for dog owners that need an escape from high-rise living.

“Pike and Rose is the perfect location to launch Bark Social because it offers the best in class mixed-use experience in the Washington region,” said Luke Silverman of Bark Social. “We look forward to bringing our unique concept to the neighborhood and making new two- and four-legged friends.”

The year-round facility also offers free WiFi, televisions, and a snack bar for both humans and dogs. Members can choose from a rotating lineup of craft beers, wine, and hard seltzers, all dispensed from a modern wall tap system. The coffee bar will serve up a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, made with beans from Ceremony, a local coffee roaster. Treat your pup to a dog ice cream, chew or bully sticks and get them all cleaned up at the unlimited self-serve bath station for just $15.

Ahead of the opening in September. Bark Social is offering a special founding member annual membership for $265. The annual membership includes unlimited entry, exclusive access to social events, discounts on products and services and a Bark Social welcome kit. Monthly memberships are available for $39.99.
