D.C Fashion Week is right around the corner, and there are tons of fun events to check out. If you love clothes, fashion, or just going out and being seen around town, you won’t want to miss this!

With a slew of shows, exhibitions, and parties, here are the top D.C. Fashion Week events you need to know about to get you in the fashion week spirit.

NextGen Designer Showcase

WHEN: Thursday, February 22 | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (show starts at 7 p.m.) WHERE: Dirty Martini | 1223 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., 20036 COST: It’s free to register and attend. Drinks are sold separately. DETAILS: This will be the party to kick off fashion week. If you’ve been wanting a foot in the industry, you’ll be at the right place to brush shoulders and network with designers, publicists, bloggers, photographers, models, and anyone else who’s anybody in this world. You’ll also be able to experience the gorgeous creations by some young and very talented new designers, through a fun fashion runway show. Fashionable dress is suggested, but since this is a fashion show, that’s a no-brainer. This is the time to wear something bold or something from an up-and-coming designer. Emerging Designers Showcase

WHEN: Saturday, February 24 | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (show starts at 7 p.m.) WHERE: Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel | 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202 COST: General admission is $50 per person. Front row seats go for $60 a person. DETAILS: Presenting the M.E.D.I.A. Showcase’s (Metropolitan Emerging Designers & Indie Artists) winter/spring 2018 collections, D.C. Fashion Week's main event will feature a blend of established designers as well as emerging powerhouses in the D.C. fashion scene. It’s also an opportunity for recording artists to show off their work. The music you’ll hear during the performances are from local artists who are “making waves in the music & entertainment industry.” Dress to impress! There will be tons of photographers, so if you want the possibility of having your ensemble featured, make sure it photographs well. You can buy tickets for the event here. 28th International Couture Collections

WHEN: Sunday February 25 | 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (show starts at 6 p.m.) WHERE: The Sphinx at K | 1315 K Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20005 COST: General admission is $70 per person. Front row seats/VIP tickets are $150 per person. DETAILS: If you love anything international (and if you live in D.C., you probably do!), you will love this fashion show. D.C. Fashion Week will host the 28th International Couture Collections showcase for the winter/spring 2018 season in the fabulous and glamorous Sphinx nightclub. Designers from all over the world will be present for this star-studded evening. You won't want to miss the D.C. Fashion Week grand finale. Cocktail attire is suggested, since this is a more formal event.
