New genre-bending feature, Infrared Dreams, coming soon from Denver-based film company.

While Denver is mostly known for its mountains, 300 days of sunshine, professional sports teams, craft breweries, and dispensaries, this city is also a growing hotbed of creatives eager to share their stories with the world.

One such company is gritHouse Films. Formed in 2015, gritHouse Films is a minority-owned, Denver-based film studio dedicated to telling engaging stories from underrepresented voices in the film industry. Their resume includes critically-acclaimed Hush Money (2017), a plethora of stylized and thought-provoking music videos, and other projects on the horizon, including Anomaly, Broken Saints, The Forgotten Ones, and Girl with No Whisper.

The feature to come from the company, Infrared Dreams, is a genre-bending film that relies on elements of sci-fi and horror, yet it somehow keeps emotional elements (not traditionally seen in 'genre' films) front and center. The spellbinding film tells the story of Ava Clarke, who is locked in a strange room with no memory of how she got there. A mysterious doctor suddenly begins experimenting on her and, as the tests intensify, she is pushed to the brink of insanity.

"I've always wanted to create something that pushes the limits of what I'm used to doing visually without losing the heart of the story and the characters. I think that I've accomplished that in this film." -Terrell Lamont (Writer/Director)

Infrared Dreams stars Holly Westwood (Star Raiders, Hush Money) as Ava and Hal Whiteside (Baby Driver, Black Lightning) as Doc. Producers include Heather G. Webb, MJ Alhabeeb Jr., Arthur O. Thomas, and Taj Nahar.

“I love that it’s a personal story with a lot of heart and emotion that goes well below the surface.” -Heather G. Webb (Producer)

The film is currently in post-production and has partnered with Denver-based specialists -- Mike Henderson (Sound Design/Mixing) and Thomas Tamura (Visual Effects).
