Yes, you read that right—bumper cars on ice!

Get ready for a smashing good time, Colorado-style! There's a brand-new winter activity coming to Steamboat Springs, and we're so excited about it! Home to the Howelsen Ice Complex, the Olympic-sized rink is hosting Bumper Cars On Ice, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Instead of slip-sliding down the slopes, folks can smash into each other (on purpose) and enjoy every gleeful minute of it. It costs $10 for 15 to 20 minutes, and reservations are strongly recommended. Visitors can also choose a BumpNSkate option for $17, which includes both an ice bumper car and an ice-skating session.

The bumper cars on ice have been rolling into the Howelsen Ice Complex since 2012.

In addition to the bumper cars, there are also public skate and hockey options available. Learn more by visiting the ice rink's website.

If you can’t make it out to Steamboat Springs, you're in luck, because the newly opened Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center opened Glacier Point Ice Bumper Cars, its own version of bumper cars on ice. They are open every day until January 5, 2020, but times do vary and reservations are recommended. Tickets cost $8.99, and there are some definite know-before-you-go details visitors should check out.
