The Gaylord National Hotel and Resort at the National Harbor is hosting Big Night D.C. on New Year's and will feature a jam-packed evening of fun.

Organizers of Big Night D.C., the National Harbor’s New Year’s Gala held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Resort on the Potomac are expecting more than 9,000 people to attend this year’s event.  This year, the huge event will feature 15 different party areas, five dance floors and a nonstop entertainment lineup of deejay’s and bands. Ticket holders will not only enjoy great entertainment and a Vegas-style party atmosphere, but also free party favors, a ginormous midnight celebration, first class cuisine and discounted hotel rooms. Big Night D.C. is perhaps the D.C. areas biggest and most extravagant New Year’s party, while the ticket costs remain in the same price range as a typical New Year’s club show or concert. The New Year’s Gala promises to deliver high energy entertainment as well. The band Go Go Gadget are set to perform their special brand of Electro-funk-hiphop. The band not only performs high energy electronic music, but is also known to have an elaborate light show that brings their music to a whole new level. Groups such as District and Circle will broaden the spectrum of dance tunes heard on dance floors with their blend of Funk, Deep, Soul and Future House music.

DJ Flo of 107.9 FM is also on the night's lineup and will bring some Latin dance flavor to the party as also will DJ Piojo of EL Zol 99.1 FM. Other bands in the lineup include, Jump Off who play classic rock and top 40 tunes, Jeff From Accounting who play rock, alternative, pop and soul covers and local dance and pop rock band Sub-Radio. [caption id="attachment_6675" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Big Night Courtesy of 107.9 FM Washington DC[/caption] Considering that Big Night D.C. features more than a dozen DJ’s, bands and entertainers, the ticket prices are quite fair for such a large and elaborate New Year’s event.  D.C.’s new concert venue, The Anthem, is charging between $75-$120 per ticket for two bands on New Year’s, Big Night D.C.’s non-V.I.P. ticket prices are between $99 and $140 and include an unlimited open bar all night, access to nine different ballrooms and party areas, seven dance floors and the midnight countdown celebration. Higher end tickets include food, while all tickets include everything else, the cheapest tickets at $99 are late entry (11 p.m.) tickets.
As with most New Year’s parties, the available VIP options with top shelf open bars and upgraded food and party favors can get expensive, however, if you don’t need to be treated like a rock star to have good time, $120 is a pretty fair price for such a large event. Big Night D.C. is an event that young adults between the ages of 21-45 would most enjoy, for more info visit the event’s webpage.
