18-hole mini golf course is the perfect place for a layover at Denver International Airport.

Denver International Airport gets in on the summer fun with the 18-hole mini golf course it has set up on the park at the plaza, located at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal between the terminal and The Westin Hotel. The course is set up in the pre-security area.

The park on the plaza features plants and trees native to Colorado, along with lounge seating and corn hole games.

The course just opened and will be open daily, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., until July 14. Putt-putt is free of charge, but you will have to spring for parking – $4 per hour in the garage or $5 per hour in short-term parking. You can always hop on public transportation or carpool if you don't want to worry about parking; the University of Colorado A-Line goes right to the airport.

If you want to play, just stop by the clubhouse to pick up a ball, putter, and scorecard and get ready to tee off.

The park on the plaza will be open until September 2 with 7,000 square feet of turf, trees, plants, lawn games, seating, and activities planned all summer. Wellness Wednesdays offer a free weekly workout at lunchtime in the park and Fly Away Fridays offers different educational, cultural, and family-friendly performances and activities in the park all summer during the lunch hour.
