We've got the rundown on which farms are open for strawberry picking!

It's strawberry season in Virginia Beach, and local farms are open and ripe for the picking. With so many of us following the "shelter-in-place" order, I think I speak for most of us when I say we're starting to feel a bit stir-crazy. Sometimes we just need some fresh air and a change of scenery.

And while this year's Virginia Beach strawberry season is a whole lot different than in the past, due to the unfortunate cancellation of the 37th Annual Pungo Strawberry Festival, memories can still be made with a day out in the fields picking fresh strawberries.

So pile into the car (only those who reside in the same home) and take a drive out to one of the local farms to pick some strawberries. You may even score some other fresh fruits and vegetables while you're there! You're also supporting Virginia Beach local farmers, most of whom have been around for many generations. Just don't forget your masks—most, if not all, require them.
