A non-commital taste of RV life!

It's summertime! And that means it's the perfect time for road trips. One of the best ways to travel is by RV, but not all of us own one. An RV is a big purchase and not something to buy on impulse. Luckily, these days you can find almost anything on an app or online, even RV rentals!

Let's take a look at some of the websites and mobile apps out there that will help you out! All of the options mentioned have both websites and mobile apps available.

RVshare

RVshare is a specialized P2P model, which means peer-to-peer. The P2P model has been increasingly popular these days—think apps like Uber or Airbnb. RVshare describes itself as Airbnb for RVs, and their rates start at just $10 a night. There are owners all across the country who list their RVs on RVshare, which broadens your horizons when choosing a travel location. Mark, one of the co-founders of RVshare, and his wife spent their honeymoon on an RV trip. After their trip, they realized their RV wouldn't get a lot of use throughout the year. It was then that they decided to create a platform for RV rentals.

Outdoorsy

This service follows a similar model to RVshare by connecting local RV owners with people interested in renting their RVs. Outdoorsy highlights that they provide protection packages to ensure a worry-free and safe trip! Outdoorsy is comprised of over 600,000 travelers and renters in 4,800 cities and 14 countries. The founders knew that they wanted to create a business that involved the outdoors and an authentic experience—and so Outdoorsy was born.

Cruise America

Cruise America has over 45 years of RV rental experience! They are the largest RV rental firm in America and serve 128 locations in 33 states and 5 Canadian provinces. Cruise America helps with the whole rental process, including choosing the right vehicle and helping customers plan their journey, and selecting the amenities they'll need. Their staff can assist with all questions about RV trips, making it that much more simple for novice RVers.

RVezy

RVezy is yet another P2P business model, allowing users to rent from RV owners. The founders of this site to discover that they could make money renting out their own RVs. They offer an app that is easy to use, along with many services including 24/7 roadside assistance. Like the other sites mentioned, these guys are super passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. Personally, I am more inclined to use a service when the owners are clearly passionate about it.

There are multiple resources out there these days for RV rentals. Whether you chose a rental firm or a P2P business, there are countless options available. If you're interested in purchasing an RV, Transwest Truck Trailer & RV is a great option for new or used RV purchases.
