An average trip from Colorado Springs to Denver on I-25 would take most drivers around an hour or more, with a maximum speed of 75 mph. However, one motorcyclist has done that exact trip in a mere 20 minutes in a now-viral video.

The Colorado State Patrol was contacted by numerous individuals who witnessed the stunt in person, as well as online viewers. The Colorado State Patrol said, "behavior like this will not be tolerated in Colorado."

The motorcyclist, who has now been identified as Rendon Dietzmann (known on YouTube as "Gixxer brah"), 32, is being charged with the following:

  • Menacing - Placed Another Person in Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury
  • Engaged in Speed Contest
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Reckless Driving
  • Speeding 40 MPH over Prima Facie Limit
  • Engaged in Exhibition of Speed
  • Vehicle had no Number Plates Attached

"This is an extreme example, but sadly a real one," said Sergeant Troy Kessler, with the Colorado State Patrol’s Public Affairs Office. "If you drive like this, you can expect to be arrested when you are located. This is the best outcome for a person who drives violently since the smallest mistake could result in his death or that of an innocent person in the area. We simply have 'NO TOLERANCE' towards someone who so blatantly disregards the well-being of the community."

Dietzmann posted a video of him riding his motorcycle from the Springs to Denver, weaving in and out of traffic at top speeds of more than 175 miles per hour. He's seen splitting lanes and dodging cars as he makes the journey north.

Before diving into his video, we want to preface with this: *The riding demonstrated in this video is illegal and should not be attempted on public streets. Please refer to our Motorcycle Safety Tips Guide for more.
