Get ready to be transported to a wizarding world with this new pop-up bar -- a Very Potter Tavern!
While there are Harry Potter-themed amusement parks all around the world, they can be expensive and hard to get to. Now there's a bar dedicated to Harry Potter right here in Northwest D.C., which to some, will do just fine. The ultimate bar for any Harry Potter fan, A Very Potter Tavern will be open from October 5 to 31, in what is typically the Town Tavern.
All through the month, there will be magical and enchanting events for everyone to enjoy -- happy hours based on the sorting hat, dance hall dance parties just like in the Goblet of Fire, Potter Paint Nights with wine, and even Quidditch pong nights. Dressing in costume is very much encouraged, as well -- after all, you'll want to know who is in your "House"!
And not only will there be Harry Potter-themed drinks like the ever-famous Butter Beer, but the bar will serve other fun cocktails including Unicorn Blood, Polyjuice Potion, and Muggle Mules -- just to name a few.
On Friday and Saturday nights, A Very Potter Tavern will feature an open bar (Fridays, 9-11 p.m., and Saturdays, 8-10 p.m) with $10 tickets when purchased in advance, or $20 on the day of. The bar is open Tuesday through Thursday until 2 a.m., Friday and Saturday until 3 a.m., and 1 a.m. on Mondays.
If you want to have a party at the tavern, you can make a reservation here as well. It'd be a perfect venue for Halloween parties, birthdays, or even just an after-work happy hour!
