The Petworth community has a new business and artistic space called the "Art of Noize," a multipurpose music and art space for artists to promote and showcase their talent using a variety of artistic expressions.
With a deep love for art, music, and film, Adrian and Tamara Ferguson -- the owners of Art of Noize -- are hoping to fuse all of their creative ideas into a venue that will support local artists. And on Saturday, December 2, Art of Noize will do just that with its first-ever Artist Showcase. What: Artist Showcase | Hosted by Dior Ashley Brown | Music by DJ Jaz Dux, featuring Aaron Abernathy When: December 2, 2017 | 2–6 p.m. Where: 3927 Georgia Avenue, NW #3 | Washington, D.C. Cost: FREE [gallery ids="5829,5833,5834"]A family-friendly event, beverages will be available, however, no alcohol will be served. Food can be purchased from outside and brought into the venue for your convenience.
In addition to hosting events, "Art of Noize" is available for private rentals at very affordable prices, giving artists and other clients a nice setting to host their events without breaking the bank. For the average struggling artist, most D.C. venues are financially out of range. The Fergusons are solving this problem, opening Art of Noize because "Artists friends would complain about the lack of resources to showcase their talent, without having to pay or get played by a venue. This intimate space was designed to solve those problems."

As a result, Art of Noize will offer events every weekend in a cozy, comfortable "living room" setting, with each event reflecting and exploring one of "three pillars": art, film and music.
Anchored by the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro station on the Green Line, Petworth is a D.C. neighborhood that's always offering and providing fun things to do for the whole family. From kid craft festivals to quirky bookstores and bistros, Art of Noize just adds to Petworth's cool community vibe.
