Now that Fall is in the air and you've started taking those sweaters out of storage, there is no better way to feel festive then to go pick pumpkins and apples! These are some of the best places to do just that: Heyser Farms, Silver Spring This is the perfect place to go with a group of friends or with your family. Here you can pick your own apples and pumpkins, grab a ride on the hay wagon and tour the farm, and enjoy some hot apple cider fresh from their very own press! Montpelier Farms, Upper Marlboro This farm may seem more like a fair, with wagon rides, bounce houses, games and more! Open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $12.

Besides the usual mazes, pumpkin patches, and apples, this farm is available to throw parties at as well. Gather around the campfire and cozy up with your friends and farm animals for the best barn party you've ever had. Gaver Pumpkin Patch, Mt. Airy Gaver Farm is a relaxing environment to pick your pumpkins and apples! With farm tours and sites to have your own campfires, this barnyard is the perfect spot for a first date.
