Now that Fall is in the air and you've started taking those sweaters out of storage, there is no better way to feel festive then to go pick pumpkins and apples! These are some of the best places to do just that:
Heyser Farms, Silver Spring
This is the perfect place to go with a group of friends or with your family. Here you can pick your own apples and pumpkins, grab a ride on the hay wagon and tour the farm, and enjoy some hot apple cider fresh from their very own press!
Montpelier Farms, Upper Marlboro
This farm may seem more like a fair, with wagon rides, bounce houses, games and more! Open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $12.

This environmentally friendly farm has everything you need to make a perfect day: a corn maze, pumpkin patches as far as the eye can see, apple picking priced by the bag, and even a pumpkin canon!
Miller Farms, Clinton
Meet the "barnyard buddies", including miniature horses and cows. Then make your way to the pumpkin patches, stop by the bakery for some sweet treats, and pick up some plants and herbs for your garden!
Sharp's at Waterford Farm, Brookeville
Open everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., this farm gives its visitors the ultimate fall experience! Besides the usual mazes, pumpkin patches, and apples, this farm is available to throw parties at as well. Gather around the campfire and cozy up with your friends and farm animals for the best barn party you've ever had.
Gaver Pumpkin Patch, Mt. Airy
Gaver Farm is a relaxing environment to pick your pumpkins and apples! With farm tours and sites to have your own campfires, this barnyard is the perfect spot for a first date.
