Between now and the end of September, 11 states -- including Virginia -- will see their names front and center on Budweiser cans and bottles. Plus, the Williamsburg location will be hosting an open house on September 16!
A press release
by Budweiser announced the brewery giant's new summer packaging featuring the names of 11 states, including Virginia. This is the latest brand innovation by Budweiser, with the state-named cans and bottles available until the end of September. The new look aims to celebrate the states that Budweiser and its breweries call home.
Other states include California, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Colorado.
Ricardo Marques, Vice President of Budweiser, stated in the release,
Our new state bottles and cans celebrate the homes of our breweries and the communities that support them. Since 1876, Budweiser has been proudly brewed across America, and this summer, we're inviting local consumers to raise a cold one to us."
The states will each have custom packaging that includes:
- Each state name will replace "Budweiser" on the cans and bottles
- The "AB" monogram in the center with state initials
- "King of Beers" changed to each state's motto
- "Anheuser-Busch Inc." swapped with each state's nickname
This is not the first time Budweiser has made changes to the looks of its cans and bottles. Earlier this year, for Memorial Day, Budweiser released Limited Edition Patriotic packaging
to celebrate and honor the men and women of our Armed Forces. A portion of the proceeds were used to help raise funds and provide scholarships to families of fallen and disabled soldiers.
In honor of the new bottles and to continue celebrating the local breweries, Budweiser will be hosting open houses throughout the 11 states. On September 16, Budweiser will be hosting an open house in its Williamsburg Brewery.
September 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Williamsburg Brewery | 7801 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185
Visitors will be able to learn about the brewery's one-of-a-kind brewing process and be able to enjoy a cold one, all while listening to live music, enjoying local eateries, and getting a chance to meet the world-famous Clydesdales. To RSVP, or for more information, please click here
