Ease yourself into fall with this limited-edition ice cream treat.

Move over Starbucks. Dairy Queen (DQ) has been at the top of its pumpkin pie game for 27 glorious years (Yas Queen!). Continuing tradition, it is set to bring back the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard on Sept. 3. It’s the perfect, cool treat for those of us who just aren’t ready to let go of ice-cream filled summer days but can’t get pumpkin spice out of our minds.

According to DQ, this ice cream treat is “a smooth and creamy combination of delicious pumpkin pie pieces, hand blended with classic DQ vanilla soft serve, crowned with whipped topping and a touch of nutmeg.”

This tasty treat comes in four sizes, offering something for everyone. If your mind is still in summer mode, there is a mini size that offers just the right dose of fall comfort. However, if you’ve been wearing flannel plaid shirts and sipping apple cider since the beginning of August, then go ahead and celebrate your nosedive into the season with a large.

The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard will be available at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide. But, like all good things, this limited-edition treat won’t last. It is slated as September’s blizzard of the month, but so far, the Queen isn’t telling us loyal subjects when it will be gone. So, make sure you visit early and often to enjoy this frosty fall goodness before it’s too late.
