"Love Thy Beer" will take place on Valentine’s Day weekend.
Craft beer is big business in Maryland, and the state is once again celebrating the burgeoning brewing industry with FeBREWary, a month-long ode to beer. Sponsored by the Brewers Association of Maryland, FeBREWary includes a variety of beer-themed events -- from tastings at local breweries to beer festivals and the creation of special brew vintages.

The main event of FeBREWary is "Love thy Beer," a festival hosted by the Brewers Association of Maryland on Friday, February 15, in Silver Spring. Craft beer enthusiasts can chat with brewmasters and sample beer from over two dozen breweries. Attendees can also vote for 2019’s best “Cupid’s Curse” release. Tickets start at $55 and are available via Eventbrite.
On February 23, head out to Ocean City for the Shore Craft Beer Fest: Love on Tap. Co-sponsored by Shore Craft Beer and Secrets, Love on Tap will include beer sampling, live music, and beautiful Ocean City views. Tickets start at $35, and the first 800 people will get a free commemorative beer glass. Other featured events include FeBREWary at Guinness Open Gate Brewery and the Takoma Tap Takeover. A complete list of FeBREWary events and participating breweries is available at visitmaryland.org.
FeBREWary is celebrating its fourth year, a testament to the popularity of craft beer in Maryland. The craft beer industry is one of the fastest growing business segments in the state, creating over $826 million dollars in economic impact in 2017. On February 6, 2019, Governor Larry Hogan expressed support for the brewing industry by proclaiming February “Maryland Craft Beer Lover’s Month." The governor has encouraged Marylanders to go out and sample some of the great beers produced in the state.
