Experience the amazing music, culture, food, vendors, and children's activities at the Latino American Festival this Friday!

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month at the Latino American Festival in Arlington, VA. This family-friendly event features a full schedule of traditional dance, music, craft workshops, and a special movie screening of the Academy Award-winning film, Coco. Vendors representing countries from all over South and Central America will be selling delicious food and handicrafts in the outdoor plaza of the Arlington Mill Community Center.

Craft Demonstrations and Workshops

  • Guatemalan Alfombra-Making with ALFO-CONCE
  • Live painting with Mexican-inspired artist David Amoroso
  • Bookmaking with Sushmita Mazumdar of Studio Pause
  • Make your own Aztec sun mobiles, sugar skull magnets, and baleros

Food Vendors

The Colombian Station will be serving lechona, empanadas, arepas de queso, chorizos con papa, and arepas rellenas de carne or pollo. El Encanto Latino will be offering soft tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and taquitos. Additional food trucks will serve authentic Latino foods and beverages in the community center plaza.

Don't forget to stop by the screening of the Academy Award-winning animated film Coco, complete with free popcorn while supplies last!

Hosted by the Arlington Department of Parks and Recreation, this fun-filled annual event is sure to be an amazing time for all its visitors. Come hungry and plan on immersing yourself in the rich, vibrant culture of Latin America! For additional information, visit the event website.
