Remember the Gong Show?? The 1970's TV show is back with all the weirdness you'd expect... plus some surprises!

The Gong Show is set and primed to make some noise once again. In early June, Sony Pictures Television released an official trailer for the new re-vamped show starring new host, British comedian, Tommy Maitland. Check out the trailer for yourself!   https://youtu.be/NMzi7tfXvSM Notice anything... interesting about the new Gong Show host? If you did, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, that is in fact Mike Myers in costume. The Tuxedo-clad, gap toothed Brit allows Myers to once again grace our screens with a new and hilarious character. The new The Gong Show team, though, is being forceful in the fact that no... this is not Mike Myers... this is British comedian Tommy Maitland. Executive producer and judge of the show Will Arnett, has even gone far enough to express his fandom for Tommy Maitland. Arnett claims he has been a fan of the British comedian ever since he saw him perform live as a teenager. Maitland has a twitter as well to amp up the illusion that the new host is absolutely, definitely NOT Mike Myers. The show is set to bring laughs, interesting talent and tons of your favorite Hollywood funny people as judges. Guest judges will include some of the greats: Zach Galifianakis, Maya Rudolph, Will Forte, Jack Black, Jennifer Aniston.. and so many more. On top of that, in true 'The Gong Show' form, the acts themselves will be WAY over the top. The pilot episode is said to bring a husband and wife act performing a choreographed banana-splitting routine, and a unicycler playing flaming bagpipes. It's like America's Got Talent but with crazier acts and funnier judges. The first episode of the new Gong Show will air on Thursday at 10 p.m. on ABC. Don't miss it if you want to laugh your way into Friday!
