Summer dilemma = solved. A new website connects parents with hundreds of summer kids' programs and activities in the Denver metro area.

Planning for summer can be really stressful for parents -- Believe me, I know! If you're a working mom like I am, then you might spend hours combing the internet trying to find an affordable summer child care experience where your kiddos will also learn and have fun. And even if you don't work outside the home, you want to fill your kids' summer with great experiences that will keep their bodies and brains active. Hence, the age-old summer dilemma: what to do with the kids. Enter: Blueprint4SummerCO, a new mobile-friendly website that serves as a free resource to connect parents with hundreds of summer programs around the Denver metro area. And the best part? It's totally searchable! Simply set the search parameters by age, date, location, price range, and/or interest, and map out the summer of your children's dreams (and all the parents rejoiced!).
“A specific pain point for parents across the socioeconomic spectrum is knowing how, when, and where to access learning in the summer," said Amy Anderson, the Managing Director at ReSchool Colorado. "Blueprint4SummerCO gives parents an easy, free blueprint on how to find a wide variety of amazing experiences to stimulate their child.”
From day camps to sleep-away camps to specific programs for kids with special needs, Blueprint4SummerCO is a growing, comprehensive database that includes events from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Education Programs, the Downtown Aquarium, the City of Aurora-Cultural Arts, Colorado Mountain Ranch in Boulder, and more. No matter what your child's interests -- music, drama, sports, science, academics (the list is endless, yes?) -- the website will help you find it! Providers can list their summer programs on Blueprint4SummerCO for free, and over the next few months, ReSchool Colorado, the nonprofit behind the website, hopes to have more than 5,000 summer programs listed.
What do you think? Will Blueprint4SummerCO be a God-send for your family? (Honestly, I wish I'd thought of it!) Have you struggled with the summer dilemma before? What Colorado activity is your kids' favorite? Let's get the conversation started in the comments below!
