10 Hilarious Movies to Add to Your Bindge-List

From indie to just unrecognizable here’s 10 comedy movies you have probably never heard of before

The Voices Rated: R Comedy, Crime, Horror

Ryan Reynolds stars in this twist on a horror movie by looking into the life of a deranged killer. Innocent and sweet Jerry (Reynolds), stops taking his meds and begins to listen to the opinions of his dopey dog, Bosco, and sinister cat, Mr. Whiskers. As Jerry tries to pursue his office crush, things take a horrible turn and he ends up keeping her head in the fridge, which also begins to talk to him. Jerry is left to decide whether to keep trying to be normal, or to embrace his sinister, twisted true self. Overall this is a darkly funny comedy that was shot remarkably well, as well as the talented Reynolds pulling off an amazing Irish accent via Mr. Whiskers.

Turbo Kid Rated: Unrated Action, Adventure, Comedy

The world is now a post-apocalyptic wasteland and an ultra comic book fan (known as THE KID), has taken over the persona of his favorite comic hero. When THE KID's quirky friend APPLE gets kidnapped by a tyrannical overlord, he strapps on his big-boy boots and goes to save her. With help from some a renegade arm wrestler and his gang. Turbo Kid is a fun, 80's-style-in-2015 kind of movie filled with killer fight scenes, overall rad special effects, and especially some silly comic-inspired one liners.

Hot Rod Rated: PG-13 Comedy

Possibly Andy Samberg’s greatest film. Overall, I’ve probably watched this move over 50 times. Self-proclaimed stuntman Rod and his buddies set out to do their biggest stunt ever to save Rods step dad so he may finally defeat him and be a man. These man-children set up various failed stunts to raise funds for Rod to jump 15 school buses, one more than Evil Knievel. Hot Rod is filled with hilarious one-liners, silly scenes, and of course, plenty of slapstick comedy. The trailer really doesn’t do the movie any justice when it comes to its humor, but here it is anyway.

7 Days in Hell Rated: TV-MA Comedy, Sports

Another Andy Samberg great, 7 Days in Hell is an HBO original released in 2015. This fictional documentary-style film shows the rivalry between two of the greatest tennis players of all time played by Samberg and Kit Harrington (John Snow from Game of Thrones for those who don’t know). The two greats battle in a match lasting seven days. This film brings in actual tennis greats, real sports announcers and comedy legends in a hilarious way that will make you love tennis for all the wrong reasons.

Bernie Rated: PG -13 Comedy, Crime, Drama

Based on a true story this mocumentary-style story starring Jack Black. This film follows the life of Bernie, a chubby undertaker whom the older women in town simply adore. Bernie was known as the most friendly, loveable man in town, that’s how he started his relationship with Marjorie. As can be seen from the towns people, Marjorie was the meanest most manipulative woman in town. After a long “companionship” between the two Bernie had enough and goes to great lengths to separate himself from her overbearing and controlling grasp.

Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil Rated: R (violence) Comedy, Horror

This horror/comedy (mostly comedy) follows loveably innocent hillbillies Tucker and Dale as they visit their dilapidated vacation cabin to fix up and fish. Hilarity ensues as a group of “college kids” mistake the two for creepy backwoods hicks hell bent on violence. After Tucker and Dale rescue one of the college kids, the rest of the group feels they are under attack and try to fight back. Tucker and Dale is a hilarious twist on a typical horror movie plot driven by misunderstanding and one deranged preppy dude.

The Foot First Way Rated: R Comedy

Small town Tae Kwon Do instructor Fred Simmons literally lives off the power that comes from being a big fish in a small pond. As a former champ Simmons believes he’s just as big as his hero Chuck “The Truck” Wallace, a B-movie Martial Arts star. After his wife cheats on him Simmions struggles to keep “the power” while balancing his life spiraling out of control. Classic Danny McBride comedic style mixed with wacky situations, hilariously uncomfortable moments, and of course plenty of spin-kicking “action”.
