You're going to watch something. Might as well make it good.

Bored on summer break and need something binge-worthy to watch? Netflix is the place for binge-watching, and these shows are worthy of it! Check out these 10 shows that will reel you in and keep you from leaving the TV for hours.

1. The 3%.

This Brazilian dystopian thriller, featuring the Academy Award-winning cinematographer from City of the Gods, will leave you hungry for more. The premise is mysterious, and the visuals are stunningly beautiful -- this underrated Netflix original is well-worth an eight-episode binge.

2. Black Mirror.

Everyone seems to have heard of Black Mirror by now, but in case you haven't, this show is the dreamscape- Twilight Zone mixed with postmodern dysphoria of your wildest dreams. Netflix picked up the newest season, and it's just as darkly poignant and unnerving as ever.

3. The 100.

Season 3 was just added this December, and longtime fans will note the show has taken an interesting turn. Departing from its Lost and Battlestar Galactica-inspired origins, The 100 takes on a character of its own this season, leaving the main characters more viscerally engaging than ever. This show continues to impress with new levels of dimension and new aptitude for intrigue, which will urge you to click "Next Episode" until you're simply left hungry for more.

4. Dark Matter.

A new season of Dark Matter was also added to Netflix this month, and this sci-fi cyberpunk futuristic world is back with added twists and turns. Though slower than the previous season, this one pays off in the long-run by giving main characters the plot development they deserve and fleshing out the premise of the reality they live in.

5. Madam Secretary.

Hear me out here. This might feel a bit slow-paced and vanilla at times, but if you like conspiracies, workplace drama, and juicy political tension, you'll find all of that in this show. It's particularly empowering to find a relatable and down-to-earth female role model in a position of power, and you can't help but respect her as she navigates the rocky terrain of international relations while balancing the domestic and romantic life of a mother at home.

6. Borgia.

Again, hear me out. Whether you're a fan of historical dramas or not, this Netflix original is juicy, disturbing, and tantalizing -- to say the least! You may know nothing about the Holy Roman Empire, but the murder, betrayal, and rampant adultery in this beautifully coordinated adult drama will leave you in awe of the political prowess and complexities which maintained the power structures of the rich throughout history -- the very rich, most especially, who go by the name of Borgia.

7. Turn: Washington's Spies.

This drama is entirely underrated. Follow the story of grassroots American rebels undercover in the Revolutionary War-torn British colonies. You'll find yourself confronted with duty vs. morality, sexism vs. undercover boundary-breaking, family vs. politics, love vs. marriage, and friends vs. country. Breathtaking, bloodcurdling, and cinematically beautiful, this show will inspire and maybe teach you some actual history along the way.

8. Peep Show.

This British comedy about the absurd life of two bachelors puts most American comedies to shame. Shot in a fascinating first-person format, Peep Show will amuse and also make you laugh out loud at their failure to be "adults" and at the ironic uncertainty of everyday life.

9. Portlandia.

.

We all know "those" hipsters, and how quickly millennial irony gets lapped on ad absurdum. Portlandia is the exposé of the millennial failure to be genuine in any way, and it will mock you and your friends with its incessant deadpan and believable caricature of everyone you know and everyone you wish you did. And the endless parody will leave you feeling cheekier than those one-upping hipsters who always outdo us.

10. Chill with Bob Ross.

I'm just saying, summer can occasionally be stressful. So why don't you chill with Bob Ross?

I don't think any further justification of Bob Ross is needed.
