Rigg appeared in the sixth Bond film, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."

Dame Diana Rigg, known for her roles in James Bond and Game of Thrones, has died. She was 82.

"She died peacefully early this morning," her agent said. "She was at home with her family who have asked for privacy at this difficult time."

Studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Rigg joined the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduating. Then, a few years later, she landed the role of Emma Peel, and the rest is history.

Rigg portrayed Olenna Tyrell (Game of Thrones), Tracy Di Vicenzo (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), and Emma Peel (The Avengers). She was nominated for an Emmy three times for her portrayal of Olenna (2013, 2014, and 2015), as well as nominated for her role of Emma Peel. Rigg also received a Bafta for the BBC drama Mother Love and a Tony for best actress in Medea.

Rigg is survived by her daughter Rachael Stirling. Our thoughts go out to Rigg's family and friends.
