In a last-second move, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson propelled aspiring Denver singer Shilo Gold onto the 13th season of NBC's "The Voice."

Blues singer and songwriter Shilo Gold sang a soulful rendition of  “Stay with Me Baby” to captivate "The Voice" audition judges on Monday, October 2, and ultimately land a spot on the reality singing competition. On "The Voice," musical artists collect a team of talented aspiring vocalists that they will train and groom for competition against one another throughout the season.
Gold, whose actual name is Shayna Goldstein, is a Denver native who attended Denver School of the Arts (DSA) and then went on to Berklee College of Music in Boston before eventually returning to the Denver area in 2016.
DSA gave me a certain strength that was bred from a really young age. It enabled me to really believe in myself. We were instilled with the ideas of what we could achieve, and were given a lot of power to invent ourselves as artists," Gold told Bolder Beat back in February. "During my time in LA, I was missing a sense of authenticity. It felt so competitive and stiff. I left on tour and spent a year playing shows in 38 states. There was no doubt in my mind that Denver was where I wanted to end up."
Gold has more than two million views on her YouTube channel. Her studio version of "Stay with Me Baby" was No. 2 on the iTunes blues chart the morning after her successful audition onto "The Voice." Keep apprised of Gold's progress on "The Voice," which airs on Mondays at 7 p.m. (MST) on NBC.
Congratulations, Shilo! Way to represent Denver! We'll be rooting for you!
