Have you ever had your classical music fix with a side of delicious German food and beer? Here's your chance, at the upcoming Bach, Brandenburgers, and Brew event in Old Town Alexandria!
The Alexandria Symphony Orchestra invites you to attend this fun-filled performance of Brandenburg Concertos No. 2, 4, and 5 under the direction of James Ross. After the concert, head to Norton Hall for a reception featuring authentic German food and beer provided by German Gourmet, Pork Barrel BBQ, and Port City Brewing Company.

If you're not familiar with the Brandenburg Concertos by Bach, they are shorter (from approximately 12 to 24 minutes) pieces that will be performed by a select group of the entire symphony orchestra. They are universally considered some of the best compositions of the Baroque period. This would be a great starter performance for getting someone interested in classical music -- and think about the great food and drinks afterward!

Know Before You Go
- Food will be provided by German Gourmet and Pork Barrel BBQ.
- Beer will be provided by Port City Brewing, an award-winning craft brewery in Alexandria, VA. You must be 21 to consume alcohol and may be asked to provide identification.
- Street parking is somewhat limited in the area near the venue. Be sure to check for residential parking only zones.
- Dress is casual for this event, and it is appropriate for visitors of all ages. The more, the merrier!
