Josh Gad is reading children's stories live every night on Twitter to help people feel better, because the world is a "hot mess".

Josh Gad, who saved the world from a Galaga invasion in Pixels, made us cry in A Dog’s Purpose, and stole our hearts as Olaf in the Frozen movies, has shown us that he is as true of heart in person as he is on the big screen.

Gad is well versed in the art of storytelling and recently announced that he will read a story to your kids every night in the #GadBookClub live on Twitter.

The time for the live reading is not set, instead, he hops on when he feels ready. The stories he has read so far include The Gruffalo, Hooray for Diffendoofer Day, The Giving Tree, The Day the Crayons Quit, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, among others. It's a very simple, no-frills storytime.

Followers are really enjoying his efforts, with parents posting positive comments and thanks to Gad on his live streams. Despite all the madness out there right now, the simple act of reading is bringing people together and reminding us that there's so much to be grateful for.

Check out some of the reactions the #GadBookClub has received on Twitter:

Thank you, Josh Gad!

If you haven’t seen any of Gad’s nightly bedtime stories, you really need to find some time to catch up! Then, make sure you tune in each night for a new story that'll warm your heart and lift your spirits. Just like a nice warm hug from a certain lovable snowman.
