Delta passengers were treated to an impromptu mini-concert by Kenny G that ended up raising $2,000 for Relay for Life.

Amidst the many negative plane-related news stories, Delta has been swept up in the good deed of the one and only Kenny G. The Grammy-winning saxophonist chose to put on a a mini-concert for his fellow flyers, which resulted in him gathering $2,000 in donations for Relay for Life. It all started when Kenny G sat next to his row-mate on the flight. According to a fellow passenger, the off-duty flight attendant had a daughter who passed away due to brain cancer, and the woman asked Kenny G if he could play a song. The head flight attendant chimed in and told passengers that Kenny G would perform if passengers donated $1,000 to the cancer charity Relay for Life. Kenny G Passengers ended up raising about $2,000 for the soulful saxophonist to play. Kenny G upheld his promise and performed a few songs for the flight, all while walking up and down the aisles of the airplane. The early morning flight went from a sleepy fog of passengers, to an elated cabin ready to donate and hear some of the best sax playing they've ever heard. In the wake of so many negative flight stories going around it's great to know there are some things happening on planes that are benefitting people.
