Luke Perry -- the quintessential bad boy of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and current star on "Riverdale" -- has passed away at the age of 52.

Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away on Monday, March 4, after suffering a massive stroke last Wednesday.

“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” Perry's representative Arnold Robinson said in a statement. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning.  No further details will be released at this time.”

Moms (like me) remember him as the bad boy heart-throb from the '90s TV series Beverly Hills, 90210, while teenage girls know him as Archie's dad on Riverdale. Others know him from his role on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.

Perry's fellow castmates offered support and well wishes to the actor shortly after he was hospitalized at Burbank's St. Joseph's Hospital last week. He had been rushed to the hospital after suffering the stroke at his home in Los Angeles.

We at OCN are shocked and saddened by this news and offer our condolences to Perry's family and friends.
