Bassist Michael Peter Balzary, better known as "Flea," celebrated his 55th birthday in Denver with a rocking Red Hot Chili Peppers concert on Monday, October 16.
An Australian-born bass player, Flea is one of the founders of the Chili Peppers, the funk rock band which formed in 1983 in Los Angeles. The popular band has won six Grammy Awards and has sold more than 60 million albums (including five multi-platinum LPs!). Their latest album, The Getaway, was released in June 2016.

In Monday night's installment of the "The Getaway Tour," the crazy-wild bass-playing birthday boy and company jammed out in front of a sold-out Pepsi Center crowd, playing a setlist mixed with old favorites and new hits from more than 30 years of making music together. The concert had been rescheduled from its original date back in March, when lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis was suffering from bronchitis.
We at OCN wish Flea a very happy birthday! We're so glad you were able to celebrate it in Denver -- with us!
Were
you at the concert? What did you think? If you have pictures to share,
