"Amuck, Amuck, Amuck! ..." A Hocus Pocus 2 is happening, and here's what we know!
Sisters! Dost thou comprehend?
In order to keep the story alive, the creators of the Disney + streaming service have put a spell on fans everywhere by teasing a Hocus Pocus sequel, 26 years later. According to Variety, they are currently in production and have brought co-producer and writer Jen D’Angelo on board to create the script.
There is a catch, however. Apparently, when the sequel is released, it will only be available on the Disney + streaming service, which begins November 12. Currently, there is no word of when the movie will be completed, who will be starring in the production, or what to expect.
The first Hocus Pocus movie starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy and only grossed $39 million nationwide on a $28 million budget. Since then, however, it has become a Halloween cult classic tradition for many and even played on Freeform's 31 Nights of Halloween 28 times in a row!
As diehard fans of the classic film, we sure hope that the original cast reprises their roles and, if not, are at least involved in some way! It just wouldn't be the same without them!

As it stands now, the Sanderson sisters are dead, so we are skeptical of how the story will unfold. However, A.W. Jantha released "Hocus Pocus and The All New Sequel" in 2018, so there is a possibility that the film could be loosely based on that story or follow it entirely.
I'm sure Jen D'Angelo will find a successful loophole that will bring the sisters back from the ground!
Are you excited for this sequel? Do you think it will be as good as the first film? Do you hope that the original actresses will be involved? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
