"Saturday Night Live" put together a dark origin story for "Sesame Street's" Oscar the Grouch, and it might be the funniest thing we've seen all year.

Taking their queue from the Joker movie, Saturday Night Live (SNL) did a "preview" parody origin story for Oscar the Grouch.

Starring actor David Harbour, who hosted SNL on October 12, the sketch depicts a world where Sesame Street is a scary and dangerous place. With the underlying Sesame Street theme song redone in a minor key and disturbing cameos from beloved characters like Big Bird, The Count, Bert and Ernie, and Mr. Snuffleupagus, this is absolutely a side of the Sesame Street world that I need to see more of.

Watch it here:

More, SNL. Pleeeeease give us more! This could be turned into a full-length feature film!

What do you think? What other dark origin story would you like to see? Tell us in the comments!
