Holiday shows, concerts, and much more are happening in Denver!

We survived the massive snowstorm, Thanksgiving relatives, and online sales. As the memories of turkey give way to thoughts of sugar plums, jolly old elves, and all those presents, we have our sights on events, both holiday-related and not, to get you out and about in Denver this week.

Events in Denver on Monday, December 2

Free Ice Skating at DIA's Pop-Up Rink

When: Through January 20, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Where: 8500 Peña Boulevard, Outside the terminal
Price: Free

This is the fourth year in a row that Denver International Airport has hosted the pop-up rink, and it's an awesome way to spend an afternoon with the family or catch a quick session between flights.

The Denver Zoo puts on a spectacular light experience every Christmas and sells out every year. You want to go do not wait until it is too late to get in, because the closer it gets to Christmas, the harder it will be to get tickets. Here are more festive light displays happening in Colorado.

Power Vinyasa with The River

When: December 2, 6–7 p.m.
Where: McNichols Civic Center Building
Price: Free

Work off those extra servings of dressing and gravy with Power Vinyasa with the River. This free class is perfect for letting go, building core strength, and strengthening the mind, body, and spirit. Meant for all levels, do what you're comfortable with.

Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Where: Buell Theatre, DCPA
Price: $35+

The hit holiday musical features songs from the original animated series, including "You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas", which were written by Dr. Seuss and Albert Hague. Narrated by Max the Dog, the timeless story of the Grinch and his "two sizes too small" heart has thrilled audiences of all ages nationwide and will be in Denver for one week only!  

LA Lakers @ Denver Nuggets

When: December 3, 7 p.m.
Where: Pepsi Center
Price: $59+

The Nuggets take on the Los Angeles Lakers at home this week. Time to get out, grab a friend and a brew, and cheer on the team with that hometown love! 

Cirque Dreams Holidaze

When: December 3–5, 7 p.m.
Where: Bubly Theater, Gaylord Rockies Resort
Price: $29+

A mix of a Broadway musical and a cirque performance, the show has snowmen, soldiers, penguins, Santa, reindeer, gingerbread, and so much more.

Events in Denver on Wednesday, December 4

Meditation for Holiday Stress

When: December 4, 6:30 p.m.
Where: The Hudson Gardens Event Center
Price: $22

Led by Denver based meditation and mindful hiking expert Lauren Villegas this event is meant to address stress in a holistic and healing way.  For those looking to lighten their minds and spirits a little this holiday season, this evening’s class may be just the thing you need to renew and refresh.

Hanson

Where: Ogden Theatre

The trio has played together for over 25 years and continues to entertain a global fanbase.

Christopher Titus

When: December 5, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Comedy Works South at the Landmark
Price: $25

Funnyman Christopher Titus has been pushing the limits of comedy for decades. Titus will be performing his new show, Stories I Shouldn’t Tell, and will give the audience a 90-minute dose of hilarity based on his own life and experiences.

Disney on Ice: Mickey's Search Party

Mickey and his pals head out on a new adventure full of ice skating, acrobats, and stunts. Many of his famous friends make an appearance as the group hunts for treasure.
