From food festivals to fiestas, here's what's happening this weekend!

While autumn officially starts next week (September 23), it's never too early to get in the fall spirit! The DMV is making sure of that with their roster of fun things currently planned. Grab a buddy and hit up any of these 10 events happening in the DMV—you won't regret it!

Virginia Craft Spirits Roadshow | The Garden by Building Momentum Co-Op Space | 5380 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite C | Alexandria, VA | Saturday

Call the shots with this showcase of Virginia's distilleries! Sample from Catoctin Creek, Cirrus Vodka, and more while getting a chance to talk to the distillers in person. ZooFiesta | Smithsonian's National Zoo | Saturday

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, come enjoy a free celebration at the National Zoo! All afternoon, you'll experience live music and animal demonstrations, along with educational opportunities about Central and South American conservation. All ages are welcome! Check it out here! 

Sunfest Kite Festival | The Kite Loft | 511 Boardwalk & 6701 Coastal Highway | Ocean City, MD | Thursday–Sunday

The biggest festival in Ocean City takes to the skies! All weekend, catch colorful kite displays with themes like Feline Friday and Sea Life Saturday along with shows, prizes, and more. You can even fly your own kite as part of the fun! Admission is free! Check out the schedule here!

Mac Demarco | The Anthem | Friday

The indie wunderkind is back at it with a show at The Anthem! Enjoy songs off his latest record Here Comes the Cowboy as well as openers Dustin Wong and Takako Minekawa. His shows have been known to be quite goofy—perfect for a Friday night! Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets start at $44. Buy them here!

H Street Festival | 2016 H Street NE, Washington, D.C. | Saturday

Easily the neighborhood's biggest event, H Street Festival honors the historic hub's artistic reputation with a free festival. Between 12 and 7 p.m., traverse 11 blocks of diverse displays in poetry, music, dance, food and more! Find out more here!

BROOD Ramble 2019 | Frying Pan Park | 2709 West Ox Road | Herndon, VA | Saturday

The Virginia nonprofit for basset hound rescues is holding their annual fall fundraiser! Support the organization with outdoor activities, food, games, and a costume contest for the pups. The highlight of the day? Doggie. Talent. Show. Admission is free, though donations are encouraged. Find out more here!

International Food Festival | Harris Pavilion | 9201 Center Street | Manassas, VA | Saturday

Between D.C. and Virginia, it's safe to say we're a foodie kind of town. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., explore the diverse flavors of Romania, Greece, Ethiopia, and Slavic cultures. The Big Dill Pickle Festival | Power Plant Live | 34 Market Place | Baltimore, MD | Sunday

There seems to be a festival for everything—why not pickles? Indulge your pickle cravings with grilled cheese and ice cream while enjoying live music, outdoor activities, and even a pickle rodeo! Fiesta D.C. | Pennsylvania Avenue NW, from 3rd to 7th Streets | Washington, D.C. | Saturday-Sunday

Gather for the biggest fiesta in the nation this weekend with Fiesta D.C.!  A colorful parade procession will kick things off Saturday, followed by live music, dance, delicious food, and more. Be sure to browse the 50+ vendors for something special! This event is free to attend. Check it out here!

Masquerade Ball at the Embassy of France | Embassy of France | 4101 Reservoir Road NW, Suite 300 | Washington, D.C. | Saturday

Bring your mask and experience a lavish night out at the Embassy of France! Fine cuisine, dancing, and an open bar are included, along with a masquerade contest! It'll be hard saying "au revoir" afterward! General admission is $79 plus a $4.36 fee. Buy them here!
