Downtown Hampton Lighted Boat Parade

Downtown Hampton | Friday

Over 20 boats will be decorated with twinkling holiday-themed lights to brighten up your Friday night. Santa will be visiting to keep an eye on all the naughty or nice children and for photo ops. The parade is free and open to the public. Check it out here!

Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl

Granby Street, Norfolk | Saturday

Slap on the ugliest Christmas sweater you own, and get ready to drink to your heart's content! Join other Norfolk locals for an evening of fabulous ugly Christmas sweaters, games, prizes and of course, all the pints you could ask for. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local charities! Tickets are $20 each—See more here!

Sock Skating

Children's Museum of Virginia | Ongoing

Candlelight Walk and Caroling

Jefferson Park | Friday

Get ready to carol your way through the streets of Richmond by candlelight! Bagpipers will lead carolers for a unique experience. The event is free and open to the public. Read more about it on Visit Richmond's website!

Gingerbread House Workshop

The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design | Sunday

Guests are invited to help build Santa's village so that he can successfully finish preparing the Christmas presents! Holiday snacks will be included in your ticket price, and you are welcome to snack on the gingerbread houses themselves. Tickets are $15 each—read more here!

Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale Concert

Grace Baptist Church | Friday

The Chorale's winter program will feature classical and contemporary works from Vivaldi and two local musicians. Ryan Tibbetts will be conducting the program, and he has prepared a holiday lineup you won't forget. Tickets are $10-$15 each. Read more here!

Gypsy

Weinstein JCC | Ongoing

Set in the 1920s, Gypsy follows a stage mother fighting for her daughter's success and hoping for her own. The musical is choreographed with humor and sophistication and has been dubbed the best musical of all time. Tickets are $25 each. Read more here!

The Nutcracker

Dominion Energy Center for the Performing Arts | Ongoing

Director Stoner Winslett brings her version of The Nutcracker back to the stage for the 40th time. The set is filled with colorful costumes and set designs that are sure to wow audiences everywhere. Tickets are $24-$125 each. Learn more here!

Williamsburg

At Christmas Be Merry

Historical Jamestowne | Saturday

Travel back in time to spend an evening with Virginia's governor, Sir George Yeardley, of 1620. Guests will celebrate Christmas early with bonfires, caroling, and a traditional shooting of the Christmas guns. Tickets are $10-$15 each. Learn more here!
